Taking the right Yoga mat to a class

Standard, synthetic vinyl Yoga mats should ideally be rolled up, (with the working surface on the outside) to ensure a safe working platform from the moment you start

However, if you want you can fold up a Yoga mat and fit it into a bag, but it may take a few minutes for the creases to flatten out...

Our Lite Yoga Class mats (3mm thickness) are lighter and more portable and fold up more easily, they take up less space.

The other option is just to use a cotton or wool rug/mat/blanket - but these may not be what you want for your practice.

We have a range of Yoga products that may be suitable but it is difficult for us to advise further as they depend on levels of experience, ability, teacher or style - i.e. what you want to achieve...

You can buy a cover from us - we prefer to fit them when they leave the shop but you can fit them yourself quite easily at home.

Remember that if you are travelling, or just storing your mat for a long period you are advised to keep it in a suitable protective bag to avoid the surface of the mat getting spoilt by damp or dirt.
